This is my Mark 3 Toyota Supra Turbo. It is a 1986.5 model with a modified 1991 Toyota Supra Turbo engine.
The car was sold May 2001.

This is a picture of my girlfriend Pamela and me.
What had been done to my car when I bought it:
  • 1991 Low Mileage 7M-GTE engine from Japan.
  • Custom Turbo Modification, increased to approx. 18 pounds max. Boost button set to approx. 16 pounds. (I decided to swap from the adjustable boost gauge to a pre-set boost button, as I believe the adjustable gauge was far to sensitive and I spent most of the time driving with far to much boost than was necessary resulting in the end of engine number 2).
  • Some sort of truck Intercooler (it was the biggest they could manage to fit into the car).
  • Brass Button Clutch
  • MicroTech Computer and Turbo Timer.
  • Specially tuned turbo exhaust.
  • Some sort of air filter.
  • Larger truck battery.
  • Simmons FR17 Mag wheels.
  • Tinted windows.
  • Entire car respray.
  • Lowered suspension (with original shocks).
  • Small piece of paint missing from front bumper.

What I have done to the car:

  • Momo pedals/steering wheel/shift knob.
  • Central locking/window closing/Car alarm.
  • Kenwood stereo.
  • Replaced one blown engine with another low milage 7M-GTE engine from Japan.
  • Short shift conversion.
  • Retinted the windows.

Future Projects for my car:

  • Find a second hand front nose piece from the 90-92 supra or a nice front body kit.
  • Find a second hand turbo sticker (rail) for the back - but then again the wolf in sheep's clothing is ok.
  • Import a complete suspensio set up, that is new TEMS, shocks and springs.
  • NOS conversion.
  • High pressure fuel pump.
  • New MicroTec Computer
  • 3/4 roll cage.
  • Fix the air conditioning.

What you need to know when converting from the NA engine to the Turbo engine:

  • The Turbo engine basically bolts straight in, but there are a few things you should know before you get commited:
  1. You will need a new onboard computer. One that will be able to handle the increase in fuel consumption.
  2. You will need a intercooler. I used a custom built intercooler from a truck.
  3. For your air-conditioning to work you will need to get a two way valve that will stop the turbo taking away you air pressure.
  4. To increase your boost you will need to get a high pressure fuel pump to cope with the higher fuel demand.

Problems I have encountered since I bought the car on 2/2/98:
